The Charnwood Recorder Consort meets on the third Tuesday of each month, usually at the home of the co-ordinator - Arthur Gould. It's first meeting was in November 2023. Its slowly increasing repertoire includes medieval and baroque pieces (Susato, Bach, Handel, Purcell) but also traditional and folk music. As time goes on it is hoped to expand into jazz standards and popular songs. It is assumed that members will be able to read music and have progressed beyond the beginner stage of the instrument. We try to ensure that there are parts for descant, treble, tenor and bass recorders.
